Mr. Ginn is Adjunct Professor of trumpet at Western Carolina University. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in trumpet performance with a specialty in music synthesis from Western Carolina University. Later, he earned a Master of Music in trumpet performance from the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati. Time spent studying with Vincent DiMartino at the University of Kentucky has also been a major influence.
A native of Western North Carolina, Mr. Ginn combines his performance and teaching opportunities with his responsibilities as a local businessman.
He is a founding member and business manager of the Smoky Mountain Brass Quintet. Through the group’s travels, he has been fortunate to extensively perform in thirteen countries on four continents.
Mr. Ginn has formerly held positions with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra, and served as trumpet instructor for Mars Hill College.
